This week, indoor air quality expert Andre LaCroix joined me to talk about potentially harmful substances in our houses – off gassing paints and fabrics among them – and what we can do about it. I don’t know about you, but topics like indoor air quality and radon make me want to hide. They just seem overwhelming and I prefer to tell myself that I don’t really need to worry about them, or that it is too late at this point anyway. Not the most mature approach, I will admit! You may notice that I asked Andre about four times if people with old drafty houses need to worry about our air quality, that was why – hoping that I get a pass!
When we are improving our homes we need to think about indoor air quality as well, especially if we are tightening up our houses in the process. After speaking with Andre, I felt like I understood what my options are and am really going to go and buy that radon test. Let me know what you think of the episode!

Andre LeCroix claims he isn’t any fun at cocktail parties, but I had fun during this interview.
